You hit a wall every afternoon, no matter how you slept. Coffee does less than it did. The weekend does not refill you the way it used to. Somewhere along the way you lowered what you expect of yourself and started calling it realistic.
Gwen was told it was just her age

Being tired is not a diagnosis
Fatigue is the most mismanaged complaint in medicine, because finding the cause takes an hour of careful work and most doctors have seven minutes. It can come from your sleep, your thyroid, your iron, your blood sugar, your hormones. When your labs come back normal, it usually means no one looked hard enough.
